What you get with a single fertilizer application
The Field Marshal crew will put down one application of granular fertilizer on your turf. It is a good idea to pair this application with a spring clean up package that includes both aeration and power raking. Aeration will facilitate more effective fertilizer uptake by increasing irrigation, where as power raking will greatly reduce thatch. Less thatch will ensure that the fertilizer does not become suspeneded in the grass leaves and never fully enter the soil. A single fertilizer application will not provide all of the nutrients that your lawn will require for the entire year, but it will act as a step in the right direction.
What you get with a seasonal fertilizer program
For individuals who want their lawn to look the best, this is the program for you. For the greenest and healthiest looking lawns, it is reccommended that you fertilize 4-5 times a year. Since Canada has primarily cool season grasses Field Marshal will fertilize your lawn using a method best suited for the growing cycle of these lawns.
Applications 1 & 2
These applications are performed in early to mid spring and will act as a starter to get your lawn growing (May) and an intensifier (June) which includes weed contol that will further stimulate healthy growth and mitigate weeds.
Applications 3 & 4
These applications are performed later summer and early fall. They tend to have a higher nitrogen content to stimulate growth while the grass is no longer experiencing the drought of the hot summer. Application 4 (September-October) will include weed and pest control.
Application 5 (Optional winterizer)
This is performed late fall and provides nutrients for your lawn during the dormant winter season.
What you get with our vegetation control
The Field Marshal crew will apply a chemical herbicide (Round-up) to trouble areas such as sidewalk cracks, alleys, driveways, gravel pads etc. We will not spray these chemicals on weeds and pests that reside within your lawn as a form of in lawn weed control, as these chemicals can greatly damage your turf.
