What is core aeration?

Core aeration can provide immense benefits for almost every lawn and is one of the best things that you can do to ensure thick and healthy grass. The core aeration process removes several 1 ½ inch - 2 inch turf plugs per square foot and places them on the surface of the lawn. This enables more water and air to enter the lawn, moistening the underlying soil and in turn alleviating soil compaction.

What you get with core aeration

The Field Marshal staff can perform core aeration at your property at any point throughout the growing season (Spring, Summer, & Fall) provided your turf is adequately moist.

Our crew will run our aerator across your property in a fashion similar to a lawn mower. However due to a larger turning radius and larger overall size relative to a standard push mower, some property areas that a mower can access may not be wholly accessible with the aerator.

Tips to improve the quality of your aeration

You as our valued customer will obtain the best core aeration results if you ensure that your property is moist (but not soaking wet) upon the time our crew arrives to perform the aeration. Consequently, if dry weather conditions precede the date of our arrival it is best if you do water your property a day or so before to moisten your soil.

Service conditions

~It is imperative that you inform our staff of any underground irrigation heads to ensure that they are not damaged during the aeration process.
